We are all called to watch and pray so that we know the times and the seasons.
The signs are falling rapidly into place. When you hear young people wondering aloud how fast a year has passed you know that something is happening with time.
Is God speeding things up? Is time itself being adjusted, in our understanding at least?
One thing we know for sure. Israel will be at the centre of end times. What do we think of the situation with Israel right now? Is it in the news? Is there an intense focus on the nation and on its people?
You’d have to say yes. The Bible, you see, spent its pages on this focus. On Israel, the apple of God’s eye. It’s extraordinary to watch Biblical prophecy unfold in the way it is.
Did you think it possible say ten years ago that so many nations would be antagonistic towards Israel? It was always on the cards but it never seemed quite as intense as it is today.
Second coming
Antisemitism and anti-zionism have been around for many eons. But have you ever seen it as a sign of the second coming of Christ?
Clearly this is where we are. The Bible doesn’t lie.
Which brings us to the point that if the Bible is this accurate with its predictions why wouldn’t everyone on earth flock to its other information?
The problem is that the other factor predicted in scripture is that anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ would suffer persecution. People will fall over themselves to come against the Church of God.
So, in few short words we have read that these two key factors are already in place. There are many others, maybe for another time, but we have to realise that the predictions in the Word of God are unfolding as we speak.
The next question, then, is whether we are ready, because He has promised He will come for His Church, and then He will come to judge the world.
Being ready is an essential.
